Summer Fun Day18th July 2004JUDGES REPORTWhat a wonderful day, as a boxer owner and lover it was wonderful to meet such committed, and dedicated boxer owners and to have the opportunity to judge such fantastic rescue dogs. The day was a very difficult day for me, as every dog that attended deserved first place in every class! When I arrived, the rain was pelting down, but the smiles on the owner's faces together with the good time the dogs were having raised everybody's spirits so I decided that if the dogs and their owners could forget about the rain, then so could I…… We started with Prettiest Bitch (non-white) which was admirably won by Mollie, with Jodie second. Gemma third (who had dressed for the occasion with wonderful red toenails), Ellie fourth and Lucy fifth a wonderful class. Next we had Handsomest Dog, and boy were they handsome, a very difficult choice but Max had it marginally, followed by Charles second, Oscar third, Duke fourth and Barney fifth. My heart then melted in the next class Prettiest White Bitch with Cheeko first, the lovely Meg second and Izzy third. Then came the gorgeous White Boys, in which Vinnie took first place, followed by Charles second, Arnie third and Winston fourth. The next class I must admit was one of my favourites, best six legs, to see all those wonderful hairy legs (the dogs) and then some more made my day, I take my hat of to Leah who showed everybody how it should be done, closely followed by Gemma second, Max third, Mollie fourth and Duke fifth. Best rear, absolutely fantastic, GREAT REAR'S, admirably won by Poppy, and in second place Cleo, with Charlie third, then Cheeko fourth and Duke fifth. I then saw wonderful bitches, in wonderful condition, and Kali caught my eye, Cassie was a very close second followed by Hollie third and Mollie fourth. We then had the most gorgeous boys in brilliant condition which was admirably won by Finlay, followed by Sam in close second, with Oscar in third, followed by the other Sam in fourth and Duke in fifth. Then the beautiful white girls in fantastic condition, which Meg came first, followed by Frankie in second place, with Cheeko in third. Poppy in fourth and Izzy in fifth place. I just loved to see the most beautifully conditioned white boys and was delighted to give Arnie first place, followed by Charles in second and Winston in third place. The veteran dogs took my breath away, and Sidney just made my day, Oliver was my second choice, followed by Tai third, George fourth and Sam fifth. Then the gorgeous veteran bitches, Millie who I thought was a puppy by her exuberance, then Jodie second, Mollie third, Maud fourth and Gemma fifth. The Happy, happy families, and boy are they all happy! Congratulations to Cheeko, George and Cleo, followed by Barney and Meg, then Sam, Jazz and Ruada in third place, in fourth was Winston and Millie, with Gemma and Ellie in Fifth. Now the most difficult part of my day, as every dog mat attended today would be my choice, but there had to be a winner and today it was the lovely Meg, followed by Blossom in second place then the beautiful white Izzy, the fourth position was taken by Duke and the lovely Gemma in fifth. Well Done to one and all Lyn |
